According to the Hurun Report and GROHE India’s third edition of ‘GROHE Hurun India Real Estate Rich List 2019” Lodha Developer’s M P Lodha and family are India’s richest real estate entrepreneurs in the country while the DLF’s Rajiv Singh and Embassy group founder Jitendra Virwani claimed the second and third place. The list is based on a snapshot of wealth as on September 30, 2019.
Hiranandani Communities group’s Niranjan Hiranandani claims the fourth position while K Raheja’s Chandru Raheja & family Oberoi Realty’s Vikas Oberoi and Bagmane Developers’ Raja Bagmane follow him at 5th 6th and 7th position. Surendra Hiranandani, House of Hiranandani Singapore, comes in at the 8th position. Subhash Runwal & family of Mumbai-based Runwal Developers was declared ninth richest real estate developers while Piramal Realty’s Ajay Piramal & family round off the list at 10th position.
What is interesting to note here is the fact that as per the report Mumbai is home to six of the top 10 names that dot India’s real estate developer’s list. Mumbai’s dominance in the list of the richest real estate developer’s in the country hardly comes as a surprise as Mumbai is the commercial capital of India and is home to maximum billionaires in the country.
